2017 Tree Tapping CeremonyWe kicked off 2017 Maple Weekend Festivities on March 10th at our annual tree tapping ceremony. The event took place at Toad Hill Maple Farm in Thurman. Maple-themed refreshments were served following the tapping ceremony. |
2016 Tree Tapping Ceremony with Maple Queen & Assemblyman StecUpper Hudson Maple Queen Jesse Benoit helped Assemblyman Dan Stec (R-Queensbury) get ready to hang a sap bucket on a tapped sugar maple tree at Grottoli’s Maple in Middle Granville on March 18 during the Upper Hudson Maple Producers’ 2016 Maple Season kick-off event. Mike Grottoli (right) and his family welcomed about 30 guests to their farm for the annual tapping ceremony. Other dignitaries included Jackie Moody-Czub, Deputy Commissioner NYS Dept. of Ag & Markets, Matt Scolin, District Director office of Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, and members of the Washington County Board of Supervisors. |
